Aloha Hawaii!

We knew this day would come. The day when we'd have to say goodbye. This was a great vacation. Of course, it's never a "vacation" when you're a parent, especially of a baby, but this was about as perfect as I could have imagined it. Our last day was filled with swimming at the pool with the boys' new friends, walking on the beach with the turtles and the Hawaiian Monk Seal (endangered and protected), and bodysurfing. We had to shower in the hotel's gym room since we had to checkout hours before our flight. That was quite the adventure...showering with a baby. Remind me never to do that on my own again! We were all pretty tired by the time we were checking into the crazy airport and the red eye flight was awful in that there wasn't really enough time to ever fall asleep. Ryan and the boys slept for a bit, but I pretty much stayed awake making sure that everyone else was able to sleep. Being a human pacifier is something I'm not used to, but Tiago just couldn't get settled any other way without waking other passengers. For future reference, I would rather have connected in Oahu instead of L.A. on the way home just to help the sleeping situation a bit. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to make that choice again someday!

Yes, this is my makeshift changing table in the airplane bathroom. Just remove some wall panels and balance them on the toilet, and voila, you have the changing table that should just be standard in all planes!
