A leak in the guest room

What drama the ensued upon discovering this leak! It was affecting the shared wall of the guest room and upstairs bathroom so who knows how many days it was there before discovery. Due to the discovery around Christmas and the fact that people didn't know how to diagnose the problem, we went through so many services and days before finally resolving it. The insurance assessor, a disaster service, a home warranty plumber, a roofer, and back to a different home warranty plumber. I won't go into the details because it will exhaust me all over again. Let it suffice that whenever we are paying for someone to look at something, we will insist they look at it the way WE WANT, not the way they assume they should. The first plumber could have resolved the issue and saved me from several phone calls to roofers and home warranty people along with more $$$$ and days of additional leaking. In the end, it was not a roof jack issue at all, but a condensation issue from a pipe joint that wasn't sealed properly (which my dad spotted as the issue right away after all those darn PROFESSIONALS didn't!). The final plumber was in and out in under an hour. The dry wall is dry now, but we will eventually have to figure out if there is mold inside the wall as that room will soon be converted into Tiago's room.
