2 moms + 2 gradeschoolers + 2 preschoolers + 2 babies + downtown = ADVENTURE! That's right, Raechel and I braved TRAX, the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, and Temple Square to give the kids the adventure of all adventures. It actually wasn't too bad. Of course, it's a lot of work to go anywhere with that many kids, but they were pretty good overall.
The Museum was fun, but I was surprised that my kids were a little "bored" with it sooner than I expected. They are NEVER bored with museums and can usually spend hours on end exploring. It was either an off day or something has changed. Maybe the fact that we were nearly the only people there had an impact. Sometimes watching other kids have fun and having to wait your turn makes things more exciting. When you have everything all to yourself, you take it for granted. Dezi probably liked the stop animation center and the KSL news desk the best.
After the Museum and a quick dinner at Rumbi's (possibly the most adventurous part of the whole trip!), we rode TRAX to Temple Square where we met Ryan and took in the lights and the Nativity. The kids definitely had a memorable night!
