Oceano, Soleil, Daniela and Vovo missed out on the hike and river fun, so we had to find an easily accessible adventure. We all piled in the van and headed for the State Park. I thought we'd go to the reservoir, but decided to explore a little further and was so glad we did. They have really made a great place with the Santa Clara River Walkway just beyond the lake. It's easy to get to and has plenty of benches and tables for resting and picnicking. The boys had so much fun finding treasures of leaves, sticks, and even a crazy caterpillar that had Cai remember the "burning" caterpillar that fell on him in Brasil. Mom and I even had a chance to chat a bit while she enjoyed Tiago time and the boys ran around having fun. A great, quick and easy adventure that we'll have to make a tradition!
