Beyblades
Thanks to their older neighbor, Gage, the boys have made a monumental discovery: Bey Blades. Basically they are tops, but oh so much cooler ;) With rip cords to launch them and arenas for battles, they are hooked. They are based off an anime cartoon about kids who battle with bey blades. Those Japanese are really smart with the anime merchandise! They know how to hook kids!
After about a week of working hard at all kinds of extra chores and jobs, they earned enough money to buy themselves each one bey blade. Ryan bought one for himself, along with an arena so they won't have to use the makeshift lid anymore! It was fun to see them “battling” together. The greencourt kids have been having a great time and have worked well together for the most part. The only downside? It seems to be an obsession. No more riding bikes, running around, and playing other imagination games they used to play. Talk about one track minds! They wake up and go to sleep with bey blades on the brain!
