Reading = Curious George Party!

Back in November we participated in a PBS read-a-thon. We read lots of books (as usual) and logged out time. To reward the kids that completed the program, PBS threw a big party. It was great. Ryan was a bit overwhelmed by the chaotic crowd at first, but I think he had fun in the end (or at least tolerated the experience for the kids' sakes). The boys had an amazing time. They got to pet seeing eye dogs, hug all the PBS kid show characters, dig for dinosaurs, learn about electricity, color butterflies, make goo and kaleidoscopes, and learn at many other interactive booths. They also got to watch crazy science guys doing crowd-pleasing 'experiments', jugglers, a magician, and even belly dancers (okay, that part was kind of weird; even though I like belly dancing, it seemed slightly inappropriate to have young teenage girls in lots of makeup dancing at a little kid event...). It was a fun, but long day that the kids still talk about.
